Hi,

My guild will be joining Rift upon release and our site/forums (currently down due to domain name change) is powered by vBulletin 4 and I was wondering does EQDKPlus support this version of vBulletin and is there plans for Rift to be added too?

I was also wondering how the bridge works for the 3.x version of vBulletin, does it work like this:

A user registers on the front end of the site (EQDKPlus) and they are automatically registered on the forums and does this work vice versa?

Thanks
Dan

Rift: see other topic, will be released soon.
Bridge: don't know if we will support vB 4, but User has to register at forum and EQdkp uses the forum's database.

yeah it worked on my VB4.
but its kinda odd bridge in my opinion, as you must use the forum to register and not the eqdkp

So you register at the forum. then you will be registered on the eqdkp, but you have to log in manually

but for all its worth, it worked great to me

Bridges work like that. You get your users to register in one place, instead of two. In 0.7 the bridge will be more advanced ;)

Hi,

I apologize for resurrecting a thread that is 1 year old...

I am a VBulletin 4 user that is installing this now, and am trying to find the bridge. I checked the downloads tab and do not see it. I'm sure I am missing something simple... could someone please point me in the right direction?

Also, I'm curious how far you think you are from single-sign-in functionality.

Thanks very much!
Timothy

for 0.6 there won't be a single sign on functionality. maybe for 0.7

Thanks for your response. I am curious if you could provide any insight as to the main point of my post, which is that I have (thus far) been unable to find the bridge and installation instructions for vbulletin.

Thank you!
Timothy
