EQdkp-Plus - DKP System - Raidplaner - Guildportal - Gildenportal - WoW, Lotro, Runes of Magic home of the EQDKP Plus Projekt

Our guild is going to use EQDKPlus for it's sitemanagement soon, it looks great and works smooth.

BUT, I can't get the addon GetDKP working.
Tried for 2 weeks now and still nothing.

We are planning to use MultiDKP but can't find the addon to manage it ingame.

Can anybody help me with GetDKP or an other addon to manage the listings ingame?

Howmag - I probably went through the same learning curve you're starting now :)

Hopefully i can help you out at least a litte.

First - download the latest GETDKP here http://svn.eqdkp-plus.com/index.php?folder=getdkp it is a beta version but at the moment infinitely better than the ones you can get on Sourceforge

Delete the old folder first, entirely - the structure of the get_dkp foler has changed somewhat

Second -
Download the data using DKP.exe in the \GetDKP\GetDKPData directory ... make sure you pay attention to the folders you place in the two option lines that come up in the GUI directory

for me line 1 is:
D:\Program Files\World of Warcraft
and line 2 is:
respect-guild.co.uk

other slashes and http's and whatnot might mess it up for you.

*hopefully* that's enough to get you started - if you find any other problems let me know in the forum here and I'll try to help you up a bit.

There are still a *few* bugs in terms of operability when distributing loot (though they always happen *during raid* so I've failed to document them so far)

All in all it's still a very simple addon for doing the DKP 'lookups' ingame - the assigning it realtime and announcing to the raid still needs a bit of work (though I've not taken the time to feed back any requests to Charla yet)

Incedentally Howmag I just tested your site

and have found that you do not have GZIP compression enabled.

Just this month I lost my website for a few days because I ran out of bandwidth ... we were using 350 megs a day at one point and have reduced that to 80 megs overnight by turning on the GZIP option.

Wallenium has said it's 'a bit buggy' but IMO a few bugs are infinitely better to losing the website entirely.

You'll also notice that the web-pages actually load a *lot* faster

Configuration
Enable GZIP Compression = YES

You should find that your "news" page for example goes from 27k to 5k - which makes a huge difference in both speed & keeping you within your server's bandwidth budget. Because I've been sending everything out "uncompressed" I've gotten to over 6gigs (and rising) this month.

Better to be safe than sorry.

... and you also want to do that in your PHPBB3 installation by:
Open ACP
Server Settings
Enable GZIP COMPRESSION = YES

but still have a few questions

I get a clean list called dkp_list.lua
but ingame I can't see it
also couldn't find much information about using GetDKP
like how award points to the raid, or to a member; taking in concidoration that I've got a Multi dkp list
the commands like /dkp don't work so a bit stuck there

You get a clean list because you have no data in your eqdkp system.
Without data u cant get some in GetDKP.

but there allready are several names in the list with 0 points to them, I can't select any list or award any points to a list

Since the newest Version i thought all Names with 0 points are ignored ingame.

Perhaps u can create a raid to add some pojnts to the members to test it
