Hi there

Initially after installing EQDKP Plus 0.5.1.3 Beta3 there were no problems, pages loaded quickly and as expected. Then about a week and a half ago, whenever I attempted to load the website it was taking 20 seconds+ to load each page.

I updated the software to 0.6.0.3 and the problem has persisted.

When I access the page while not logged in, the pages continue to load as quickly as before. However, whenever I am logged into the admin account the pages (including non-admin pages like listmembers.php) take 20+ seconds to load.

I tried a clean install to a different directory and database and came up with exactly the same problem.

I can only guess that something has changed on my server in this time. Is the system trying to perform any additional functions, for example an fopen() or file() command, whenever a logged in user tries to access a page? I tried turning off allow_url_fopen and that didn't seem to help - it is definitely turned on. My only other guess would be some kind of firewalling of the fopen requests, if there is indeed a remote file request whenever a page is loaded.

Has anybody else had this problem, or does anybody have any advise as to how I might solve it?

Thanks very much for your help!

Thank you very much. Disabling update check appears to have solved the problem!

W/ mdkp - SQL Querys: 1269 | in 4.066 sec

With a bit of tuning on mysql side I've gotten it down to:

SQL Querys: 1266 | in 2.766 sec so far

This is on the roadmap for 0.7.
But atm the huge amount of SQL querys doesnt allow hosters to use eqdkp plus on a hosting service!!

If the hoster tunes his mysql server for this use the overhead becomes alot less than with default mysql tho.

I disabled the updatecheck and the rss feed, and it was a huge boost. I haven't tried the itemstats, since I would like to keep that, but I can live without the two others.

It's still a bit sluggish, but not to the point where I wonder if my cable got unplugged.
