The purpose of this topic is to secure the functions of all exisiting cms bridges. If you use one, please post if it's working or not. Write down the count of your databases, too. Thanks in advance.

Possible bug in multi-database bridging to Joomla

I just made a fresh installation of build 2797 which worked well on its own. When bridging it to Joomla 1.5 installation using another database, I get the following error messages when logging in:

[blockquote]SQL ERROR
Query: SELECT * FROM `eqdkp_plus_config`
Message: Table 'joomla.eqdkp_plus_config' doesn't exist
Code: 1146
Database : eqdkp-doh
Table Prefix: eqdkp_
PHP: 5.2.6 | Mysql: 5.0.51b

is your EQdkp updated? click to check SQL ERROR

Query: SELECT class, color FROM eqdkp_classcolors WHERE template='32'
Message: Table 'joomla.eqdkp_classcolors' doesn't exist
Code: 1146
Database : eqdkp-doh
Table Prefix: eqdkp_
PHP: 5.2.6 | Mysql: 5.0.51b
[/blockquote]

User authentication works, so it seems like the SQL-queries made afterwards are still made aginst my joomla database instead of eqdkp.

SMF 1.1.8 Bridge attempt.

I can't get this to work at all. I've double checked all my databases and everything. I've tried multiple groups now, I even made a new one. All I keep getting is "You have provided an incorrect or invalid username or password"

Prefix is smf_
I only have two databases which is CMS and EQDKP.

Not entirely sure what transfer of userdata is, this is a fresh new install of both EQDKP Plus and SMF.

It's not being put into the database at all for some reason.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Update: For some reason, even though the databases are on the server, repointing them to the localhost and saying different database solved it. Maybe I was confused when it said "Is the CMS/Forum on another Database than Eqdkp?" but hey it's all sorted and hope someone finds a solution in this post.

I think technically yes since eqdkp is listed as eqdkp_ and CMS is listed smf_

I'm using smf and eqdkp bridge myself in one and separated databases and don't have this problem.
You shouldn't need to use the different database setting, if your tables of eqdkp and smf are stored in one db.

If you want, i can take a look into this, but i need admin login to your sql, smf and eqdkp.

I am using a fresh install of the latest EQDKP and SMF 1 and trying to bridge them.
But somehow it doesn't work, it says that everything was added fine and everything, but when my friend tried to make an account, it only made one for the forum and not for the portal.
It seems strange that it says that everything was added fine when it doesn't work.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention that the account made can not be used to logon EQDKP with, only the forum, so they have to make seperate accounts still.

Running on EQDKP Plus 0.6.2.5
SMF 1.1.4
mysql 4.x

Please help. :)

So, i have now upgraded but unfortunately my friend isnt allowed to make more than 1 account on his computer.
So to see if this works, would need your help if that is possible.
broken.darkstargamers.com
could you go and signup and see if it works now?

Thanks,
Snuffsis

Edit: Got another friend to try it out, with no success.
He can only logon the forum with it, but when he tries to logon the site it says invalid username and password.

The SMF bridge works on my local sites w/o any problems. Can you double check all settings, please
