Hi all.

I recently got asked by my GM to set up a new website on the webhost easily.co.uk. I installed eqdkp-plus 0646 and it all went fine up until i tried to import the guild using charmanager. It fails with error :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding() in /web1/user36030/website/portal/libraries/ArmoryChars/armory.class.php on line 191

My limited knowledge of PhP leads me to believe that mbstrings is set up incorrectly on the host. After i did phpinfo i discovered its set as mbstrings=shared. Is this correct? Or have i made a mistake somewhere? Heres a link to my phpinfo http://www.rageguild.eu/phpinfo.php.

Also i have noticed that the 3 news boxes in the admin panel all flash and nothing loads. I hope somebody can give a little help. If an admin login is required please let me know! BTW i just updated to fresh install of 0648 (wow) and still the same.

you need mb_functions, talk to you host. they should be able to help you.

Hi wallenium, which functions in particular would i need, or does it come as a whole module in php?

Your mbstring module is built as a shared library and that's why you cannot use the function. Use mbstring=enable ;)

Thank you for your awsome help guys! I have mailed my host and they are looking into the php compile for me, we shall see the outcome i hope soon!

1 More thing, is there a list of all of the URLS that eqdkp+ uses for the portal modules, as my host mentioned that they only allow URLS if requested:

So far ive found www.worldoflogs.com
http://eu.wowarmory.com
http://wowhead.com/

Is there any others i should get added? Im guessing allakhazam but im not sure?

Your help is greatly appreciated, and as soon as the guilds using the forum i shall be donating to get rid of the ads.
